Brady Drum Company is proud to display and introduce the following products at this year’s NAMM Show:

2) Tasmanian Blackwood Block Snare Drums – A rare timber from Australia’s deep south eastern rainforests, Tasmanian Blackwood is new to Brady’s block shell style snare drum range. These drums provide the missing link in our spectrum of sounds, producing warm “vintage” tones.

3) Unique Custom Shop Options – Presented at the Brady booth are “Custom Shop” snare drums displaying options of solid & stained colors, powder coated hardware, hand-painted graphics and other alternatives for your drums! These one of a kind works of art are available upon special request, priced at our standard gloss finish prices.

4) 16” snare drums - Brady Drum Company is proud to announce the introduction of the their new 16" snare drums into their Ply Shell snare drum range. These new creations from "down under" feature all the sensitivity of a 14" snare and with enormous bottom-end, but without sacrificing any cut or clarity. The extra diameter makes for an excellent cross-stick and they are available in Jarrah or Marri timber as per Brady's Ply Shell Snare Drum Range. Being offered in a 5.5", 6.5", 8" depth, or in a 12" depth for the bass drum snare drum, Brady's new 16" snare drums have broad use in both classical and modern settings. They are available in our complete range of Jarrah and Marri ply range, including all exotic finishes.

Founder Chris Brady says "The 16" snare is not a gimmick. Whilst it's still a very deep snare, it has very similar tonal qualities to that of a 14" Solid Wood snare. The new 16" snares are a great completion to the versatile & distinctive Brady snare drum range, and make for a brilliant performer in the studio".

5) Feature Kits – Also featured at the Brady booth are a Jarrah ply classic rock drum kit finished in Black Silky Oak Silver Sparkle gloss, a Marri ply traditional bebop kit finished in natural Marri satin finish, and a gorgeous Jarrah Ply kit finished in our renowned Blackheart gloss.

Artist Update

On February 13th, Larry Mullen Jr & those Irish lads, U2 will be performing live at the 2005 Grammy Awards, complete with Brady snare drum. Their new album “How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Charts, moving over 800,000 copies in their first week of release. The album also took the #1 spot in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. The band has also recently been seen on Saturday Night Live and various promotional stunts (with Brady snare in tow) in the US, including filming the new videoclip for “All Because Of You” on the back of a flat bed truck driving through the streets of Manhattan and a free “secret show” filmed beneath the Brooklyn Bridge for MTV’s “mtvJammed”, airing on December 10. U2’s world tour in support of the new album is due to begin in early March 2005 in Miami and will hit “Down Under” in December 2005.

Jeremy Stacey has just finished up touring “Down Under” with The Finn Brothers. He’s back off to the US for more dates with Sheryl Crow.

Green Day hit the European circuit through January and February, with March seeing Tré Cool and the boys hitting Australian shores in March with Simple Plan in tow.

Zach Lind is touring the US with Jimmy Eat World in support of their latest album, Futures. Now available on iTunes is a double A-side from the boys.

Possibly the world’s busiest session drummer, Kenny Aronoff, should take a bow for his work with Ashlee Simpson, which saw the TV actress turned chart sensation pick up a Billboard Music Award for “New Female Artist Of The Year” recently. Kenny also just finished recording a new album with Tommy Iommi, and provided the beats this year for the following top female vocalists: Avril Lavigne (Under My Skin), Ashlee Simpson (Autobiography), Hilary Duff (Hilary Duff), Melissa Etheridge (Lucky), Alanis Morrisette (My So-Called Chaos), and Anastacia (Anastacia).

Chris McHugh is out on the road with Keith Urban and was recently seen thumping the tubs on the Billboard Music Awards. A very busy schedule will see these two paired together for dates across the US as part of CMT’s “Be Here” Tour, before heading of to Australia in the New Year.

TV may never be the same again! MTV’s new reality show "Meet the Barkers," is scheduled to air next year featuring Blink 182 & Transplants drummer, Travis Barker and his family. Travis will also be performing on next summer’s Vans Warped Tour with The Transplants, with a new album expected to be released by the group.

Scott Frassetto is in the studio with Moby working on a new album due to hit the shelves in March.

Niacin are holed up in the studio recording their next CD. Dennis Chambers is on the drum stool for this early 2005 release.

The Spin Doctors have finished recording a new album with producer Matt Wallace (Maroon 5, Faith No More, Train) which is due for a late Spring / early Summer 2005 release. Aaron Comess cut his drum tracks in Los Angeles on a Brady Jarrah Ply Drumkit (see photo). European tour dates have been announced for March 2005.
